WHERE BLACK DESIGN THINKERS THRIVE

Join the six-month programme for future leaders of research and design.

A funded training and coaching programme that prepares Black designers and researchers for the learning, growth and leadership journey ahead.

WHAT YOU GET

Retreat.

If you’re in a junior or mid-level research or design role and want to progress, our three-day retreat will help supercharge your learning and leadership journey.

We know how hard it is to make progress and thrive in a racist sector that is structurally set up to hold you back. The retreat will be a space where we invest in you, giving you the time to pause, heal and lay the foundations you’ll need to grow.

Coaching.

Get matched with an experienced coach to help deepen your skill and confidence as you grow into mid-level and senior roles.

When you join the Guild, we’ll match you with a coach who can support your learning and leadership journey. As a junior or mid-level designer, you’ll get 10 hours of high-quality coaching (funded by the Guild). A proven way to support your career growth.

Healing + Learning.

You’ll get access to a £1,000 learning and healing budget to support you to help round out any technical skills and keep everything in balance while you do.

As a Guild member, you’ll receive a pre-paid Learning and Healing card charged and ready for you to spend on the learning and healing support, activities or resources that are valuable to you.

Community.

As a member of the Guild, you can stay connected with your cohort along with other members and alumni to support, amplify and champion your work.

With regular meetups, forums and events, the Black Design Guild will connect you to the people you’ll want and need in your corner.
